Oreo's Playmates
Cupcake
Cupcake is Oreo's sister, and like Oreo, she also has the Tuxedo markings, but unlike her brother, Cupcake has long hair. Oreo and Cupcake are pretty inseparable. When Cupcake was just 6 weeks old, she had a heavy object fall on her hips and she became paralyzed. Her condition responded well to prednisone, and even better when she began receiving chiropractic care, from Dr. Val Svetich, D.C. who worked with her carefully. Cupcake went from dragging her back legs to being able to run and play. She isn't as graceful as a cat should be; she kind of gallops around the house and falls off of things, so we have to watch her.
Cupcake is very sweet natured and loves everyone, unconditionally. She seems unaware of her disability, and plays just as hard as her brother, and sometimes manages to reign over him.

Fresia
Fresia came to us as a tiny kitten in November, 2004. We picked her up from Furry Friends Rescue. Not knowing how Oreo would react to a new kitten in the house, I was alarmed when I set her down near him and he began playing with her gently and cleaning her. I guess Oreo has a lot of maternal instinct. Cupcake wasn't so accepting, but that didn't matter to Oreo. He immediately accepted her into the fold and has brought her up. Fresia is the alpha cat in our home.

Kimba Kimba is a gorgeous, Maine Coon (we think) calico who is almost 5 years old. She is sort of the outcast in our cat tribe; none of them will have anything to do with her and they often chase her off. She is an indoor/outdoor cat and often brings us 'gifts.' Oreo always messes with her; she seems to be the low cat on the totem pole. She is very nice to us if we agree with her agenda. She is very gorgeous and seems to know it!
